DRIVING SAFETY COURSE:
You may enter a plea of GUILTY or NOLO CONTENDERE and request a Driving Safety Course. You may lose that right if you do not provide written notice to the Court on or before your appearance date.
YOU MUST MEET THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS FOR DSC:
1. You must possess a valid Texas driver's license or Active Duty Military ID
2. You DO NOT hold a Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
3. You may take a DSC course for ticket dismissal ONCE every 12 months
4. DSC is NOT granted on (A) school bus violations; (b) speed violations of 25 miles or over; (C) Construction Zone with workers present.
5. You enter a plea of guilty or no contest and pay $144.00 fee required by Court.
You must provide proof of valid liability insurance, driver's license, a plea and fee with your DSC request. You will have 90 days (3 months) to complete you DSC class and return your Certificate of Completion and the required Certified Copy of your Driving Record to the Court. Only at this time will your violation be dismissed.

SPEEDING - $6.00 PER MILE OVER THE SPEED LIMIT PLUS $134.00 STATE FEES
Speeding - (SCHOOL ZONE or CONSTRUCTION ZONE WITH WORKERS PRESENT) $12.00 PER MILE OVER PLUS $134.00 STATE FEES
Speeding - 25 MPH & PLUS OVER THE SPEED LIMIT (NO DSC ALLOWED) $334.00

FAILURE TO USE SAFETY BELT SYSTEM - $186.00

A Deferred Disposition may be granted, please call the Court for details.
If you wish to pay citation fines and fees, or enter a plea by mail, on a blank piece of paper include the following information (typed or handwritten) and mail the paper and fee to the court listed on your citation:

*Failure to respond to your citation by mail or appear in court may result in another charge of Violate Promise to Appear and a $50.00 Warrant fee will be added to each violation that requires a warrant to be issued. Also, you may be denied Renewal of you Driver's License.
