Requirements for water wells located within the boundaries of the Guadalupe County Groundwater Conservation District:
- All Wells within the District are required to be registered (Rule 6.2(f) and Texas Water Code 36.117). Registration form and instructions can be found here: https://www.gcgcd.org/forms/well-registration
- Prior to drilling any new well, a Notice of Intent to Drill form is required to be filed with the District (Rule 6.2(a-e). The form can be found here: https://www.gcgcd.org/forms/intent-to-drill
- Non-exempt wells require a permit from the District (Rule 5.3 (a) and Texas Water Code 36.117. Permitting information can be found here: https://www.gcgcd.org/forms/permit-application-info
- Certain wells may also require approval through TCEQ; please contact TCEQ to determine if your well requires approvals.
