Guadalupe County Thoroughfare Plan

Guadalupe County seeks public input on the Draft Major Thoroughfare Plan

A County's Major Thoroughfare Plan is a planning tool for the County’s future roadway system.

The purpose of the Major Thoroughfare Plan is to provide Guadalupe County with a long-term template to plan for future transportation while making short-term decisions related to roadway funding and the preservation of developing corridors.

Maps, with draft colorized routes identified as thoroughfares, are available for public review and comment before the Commissioners’ Court formally adopts the revised plan later this year.

Public Involvement Opportunities

Guadalupe County shared the Draft 2026 Major Thoroughfare Plan with an open comment period held from May 5, 2026, through June 5, 2026. The comment period ended June 5 at 5 PM.

Feedback was received by the public via two public meetings that were held on May 19 and June 5. Residents also submitted online comments during the open period.

The public comments are being reviewed and a new proposed map is being proposed for public input before the Commissioners’ Court formally adopts the revised plan later this year.
