Commissioner Precinct 4

Commissioner Stephen Germann is a lifetime resident of Guadalupe County. He is a devoted husband to Shirley Germann, of 32 years, and a proud father to his son serving in active-duty with the United States Air Force. He is a hardworking rancher and business man residing in Marion, Texas. His vast lifelong experience in ranching helped structure his ability to manage 26 commercial turkey farms with $30 million in assets in 1992-2005 and continued to succeed with 7 poultry breeder farms generating over $50 million in annual sales in 2005-2018. He has served as president of the college of Agriculture at Texas A & M Kingsville in 1984-1985. He maintains a commitment to stay involved as a local citizen, taxpayer and Texan looking to help make a difference in surrounding communities.
He currently serves as Guadalupe County Commissioner for precinct 4 with a common sense approach to ensuring checks and balances while forming policy-making budget decisions. As a member of commissioner court, Commissioner Germann is involved in the budget planning process, setting salaries and county budgets, reviews contracts and helps oversee all county building and facilities in precinct 4. He supports firefighters, EMS, and Law enforcement and various emergency management agencies who continuously work to protect and serve our county. Commissioner Germann is profoundly committed to representing the best for all constituents in precinct 4 and throughout Guadalupe County.

New Traffic Signal at FM 78 and FM 1044

  • Commissioner Stephen Germann holds up signed petitions requesting the traffic signal.

Through the ongoing diligent work of Commissioner Germann and Commissioner Court, almost a year to date of receiving 1,000 petitions from residents, he made every effort in his power as an official to call upon TxDOT, as well as the Union Pacific Railroad system, and the support of Congressman Cuellar, to address a critical safety concern. As a result, a much-needed traffic light was installed and activated last week at a key intersection.

Today, Commissioner Germann took the time to thank those who contributed to this effort. While this is a significant step toward enhancing safety, maintaining vigilance in this area remains a priority, as well as working to make our roads safer for all drivers.
